Sage Twisted Japanese Cotton Field Shirt
税込み価格
Our field shirt pattern is based on a vintage military jacket that we've been wearing for years. The aim was to create a silhouette that we could produce in a range of fabrics, with different seasons and functions in mind.
It's cut with a high armhole for comfort, straight through the body for easy layering, and with a full sleeve that can be rolled to the elbow—allowing plenty of room for movement. The collar can be flipped when needed.
It features two large angled chest pockets with buttons, a concealed front placket with an exposed top button, and an internal buttoned stash pocket. We’ve used horn buttons from Gloucestershire throughout. The shirt has been cut and sewn in London.
As with all our clothing, versatility is key. This shirt is designed to be worn with sleeves rolled in summer alongside a pair of shorts, or dressed up with loafers, chinos and a knit through the shoulder seasons.
Here we've used a highly twisted Japanese cotton twill, relatively heavyweight at 276gsm. The twisted yarns mean the fabric wears very cool and is smooth to the touch as well as resisting wrinkles - similar performance to a wool Fresco. Our aim was to find something that performed similarly to the poly/cotton blends of military garments, but in a natural fibre.
