Our lambswool shawl collar cardigan is our everyday version of the classic menswear staple.
We use a superfine Geelong lambswool yarn from spinners Todd & Duncan, who draw on 150 years of experience to produce a yarn that is soft to the touch and one that will age beautifully.
It is knitted in a 6-ply construction which is just about as hefty as our cashmere version, given that Geelong wool is about twice as dense as cashmere. Each cardigan is finished with matte horn buttons and can be secured at the neck via the hand sewn collar loop keep the cold out.
We like to pair it with soft fabrics such as corduroy or flannel and it can happily take the place of a tailored jacket.
The raglan sleeves make this an easy fitting garment. We find the sizing true to size, but you could equally take a larger size for a more comfortable fit.
