Our new shawl collar cardigan is a superlative interpretation of a classic knitwear design. It is knitted in a 12-ply construction with a super-soft cashmere yarn from Scottish spinners Todd & Duncan. The extra ply makes for a wonderfully thick and luxurious garment while the cashmere is buttery soft to the touch and a real pleasure to wear. Knitted for us in Hawick on the Scottish borders, the long staple Scottish cashmere yarn ensures a piece of knitwear that will soften and only get better with age.
Each cardigan is finished with matte horn buttons. It can be secured at the neck via the hand sewn collar loop keep the cold out.
We like to pair it with soft fabrics such as corduroy or flannel and it can happily take the place of a tailored jacket.
The raglan sleeves make this an easy fitting garment. We find the sizing true to size, but you could equally take a larger size for a more comfortable fit.
